After my freshman year in high school, I went to Europe with four other brothers. Many times, I heard about all the local churches being one and living in the one accord (Acts 1:14, Acts 2:46), but this trip to Europe was a real experience of the oneness of the church. We visited nine different countries, stopping by different local churches on the way. The most memorable stop was in Regensdorf, Switzerland. There we had the Lord's table meeting in German, and even though the table meeting was in another language, it felt just like the table meetings at home. To praise and sing to the Lord with the brothers and sisters from Switzerland was quite amazing. I really felt that we were all enjoying the same Christ.
After the Lord's table meeting, we watched a recording of a message spoken by Witness Lee in America. I realized that the reason these local churches are in one accord is because they are all under the same ministry. The brothers and sisters in America and Switzerland are enjoying the same ministry and the same Christ. Praise the Lord! I experienced the Body of Christ during this Lord's table meeting. No matter where we are and what language we speak, we can all experience the one Christ.
